Theetuin bij de Heerlijckheid

Theetuin bij de Heerlijckheid

De Heerlijckheid Brocante is located in an idyllic half-timbered house at Dorpstraat 35 in Oirsbeek, Zuid-Limburg, offering a serene escape. This establishment features a tea garden, a shop selling vintage items (brocante), floral creations, and a wide selection of teas.

The tea garden provides a delightful setting during the summer months, inviting visitors to enjoy tea or coffee with homemade cookies on Fridays and Saturdays. A four-course high tea can also be booked from Monday to Thursday. The garden ambiance is enhanced by Cochin chickens and a historic bakehouse with a working oven.

Workshops focusing on green decorations are held throughout the year. In the summer, these workshops often take place in the “tea and picking garden.” Visitors attending these specific workshops during the summer may self-pick flowers and foliage from the garden to use as materials for creating decorative items for their homes.

Beyond the physical location, De Heerlijckheid Brocante operates an online shop offering a diverse range of loose teas, including green, white, rooibos, herbal, fruit infusions, and black teas, many with names inspired by the Limburg region. The physical shop is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 to 17:00, with private shopping available by appointment.

Beyond the flowers, the farm is celebrated as a quiet, nostalgic spot where one can enjoy homemade delicacies, indulge in a high tea, or browse a selection of brocante items. The friendly and helpful owner, who provides valuable tips, further enhances the overall positive and unique visitor experience.

Lubosch Land is a nature-inclusive family farm located in Ransdaal, Zuid-Limburg, dedicated to sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and healthy food production. Established in 2021, the farm aims to actively contribute to a more sustainable food chain by working with nature and the local community. The farm features several key areas: A Food Forest (Voedselbos): Planted with numerous trees and shrubs since 2021, this area is designed to produce a diverse range of perennial and woody species, including fruits, nuts, seeds, leaves, and stems. While it will take many years for the forest to fully mature, the first harvests are anticipated after about five years. Currently, guided wild foraging walks are organized where visitors can learn about and taste existing wild edibles. A Market Garden (Tuinderij): Here, annual crops are cultivated entirely without pesticides, following permaculture principles and focusing on soil health. Produce grown includes various vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruits. Specific items mentioned are collard greens, chard, beans, lettuce, kohlrabi, and different types of cabbage. Additionally, perennial fruit bushes yield redcurrants, gooseberries, Japanese wineberries, and other currants. Natural Farming Project Fields: These fields, established in 2023 and 2024, adhere to “Do-Nothing Farming” principles, emphasizing collaboration with nature and minimal intervention. Produce from the farm’s own land, including unsprayed vegetables and fruits from the market garden, is sold at the Lubosch Land Farm Shop (Boerderijwinkel). The shop, housed in a renovated former cow shed, also offers a seasonal and rotating assortment of other organic and local products like dairy, beverages, preserves, and baked goods. Customers can purchase ready-made vegetable boxes (groentetassen) for 2 or 4 people, filled with seasonal produce. If a specific item is not displayed, the farm team can harvest it fresh for customers.
